REACH

The European Union’s REACH regulation (Regulation No 1907/2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) places obligations as manufacturers, importers and downstream users of chemical substances and preparations. It also places obligations on importers of products. Article 33 of REACH requires suppliers to inform recipients if any article contains more than 0.1% (by weight per article) of any substance(s) on the candidate list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Based on the European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling on September 10, 2015, each component of a complex product is considered an article. The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) periodically publishes SVHC candidate list on their website at URL: http://echa.europa.eu/candidate-list-table. A list of SVHCs present above 0.1% by weight in any article of Molecular Device’s products is available by emailing msdsinquiry@moldev.com.
